  I thought all of the DHS were like Saginaw until I read the reviews. It really is horrid. First there is a huge turn over. All the case workers are nice and return calls until they have been there about 6 months or so. Then, they not only do not return calls, emails, texts.... They NEVER answer the phone. Not just on their "paperwork Tuesday", but every day no matter what time you call. And as domeone said, if you are not the right color or ghetto you get no help. I actually work, and try to make a better life for my family, because if that I am penalized every time.

  This issue I have with this place is the fact that the workers will literally NOT pick up their phone. I did figure out how to get them to answer. First, wake up early. Right before they open. A good ten minutes before that. Then call your casework. The caseworker most likly will NOT pick up. Don't stop. Hang up. Do not leave a message. Call again. And again. And Again. And Again. Back-to-Back. Be a persistent bastard. Do not stop calling. Eventually, a very annoyed caseworker who has been IGNORING your call will FINALLY pick up the phone. This when you can be polite or add a bit of sarcasm of 'Oh, amazing you actually picked up the phone this time! How nice!' If this does not work- and sometimes it doesn't especially if you have a REALLY bad caseworker who really does not care- you can go above that caseworker and speak with the case workers manager. I've done this before. Got the name of the manager and then proceeded to COMPLAIN at how horrible my case worker was being. The next day, my caseworker suddenly called... being super polite... and then got her job done and all my questions answer. All in all. This place is horrible. They need to hire people who CARE.

  Zero stars should be an option! Absolutely the most horrible place I've ever dealt with! The case workers are rude and do not care if you are disabled! I have begged for help getting paperwork in and have never gotten help! I have been treated horrible each time I have had to speak to them! I wish the case workers treated everyone equal! There is definitely preferential treatment given to some!!!

  Feels terrible that it takes this long just to hear from somebody. It feels like an empty building! They leave you starving. Who just doesn't receive morning calls? I had my interview, I check my account status, no change. I call for someone to speak to. I wait a whole day just to have the exact same problem. Human beings don't tend to like their time wasted for no reason. Step it UP
